Our Story
Based in the beautiful Norfolk countryside Oichi is three sisters, Khalila, Shifa and Thorayya Mears. We were brought up with kombucha as a health tonic and felt inspired to reinvent it as a delicious and healthy adult drink. Its wonderful flavour profile as well as its spectacular health benefits make it the natural alternative to alcohol. With time and dedication we have developed a truly exceptional drink for your enjoyment.
Oichi is a female founded and led business. We are passionate about women collaborating and supporting each other in all aspects of life. We love working together as sisters to produce artisan drinks.
The name “Oichi” is a play on two Japanese words, delicious and tea. The perfect name for our brewing business.

We are passionate about seasonal hedgerow treasures like elderflower and rosehip, and find that using these ingredients captures the essence of flavour in a way that outshines mass-produced ingredients. Creating limited edition seasonal specials that are truly unique and reflect our region's beauty and taste is one of our hallmarks.
We collaborate with local initiatives whenever possible. In 2023 we connected with Fritton Lake's re-wilding project to source our blackberries from their 1,000 acre landscape.
